My sick baby

Aaron was vomiting from 1:30 to 5:30 last night.  Then woke 8 a.m. .... bottle, and all back up.  Change of clothes and nappy and now asleep on my chest. I'm devastated and so so worried.  It's 8:45 and I'm waiting for Chemist to open at 11 a.m.

My poor baby.

  1. Oh no Liska! I'm so sorry. It could be norovirus (sounds like it as that started with vomitting pretty much) like we had which obviously resulted in F being put on a drip. Try and get some diorolyte into him but what you MUST do is not let him gulp it. If he gulps it he will be sick. You need to syringe it in to him slowly to rehydrate him. Unfortunately with us, even syringing a tiny bit of calpol into F and she'd bring it back up. So long as you can get fluid into him don't worry about him eating.
If you need me at all just tweet me or something and I'll try and help as much as I can.
Make sure you get rid of all traces of vomit and try to not breathe in around when he does vomit as the virus can be in the air - that's how I caught it and you don't want it, it's AWFUL.
    Thinking of you.

  2. Absolutely awful for you but he will bounce back quickly, in the meantime you gets lots of cuddles. My boy is not right either, thought he was better after a funny night but he has temp and shivers, may be the pox on the way :-( Wishing Aaron a speeding recovery xxx

  3. Aw no! Hope he has an OK night and that it's just a 24h tummy bug. It's so awful when they are ill and you feel so helpless. Plenty of cuddles, rest and fluids if you can get them into him. Thinking of you both! x
