How Does Your Garden Grow?

Mammasaurus and How Does Your Garden Grow?

Well in answer to that question, full of daisies, which I am reluctant to let either me or Daddy mow, as they are just so pretty and meadow like.......
Plus getting the lawn mower out would only frighten the fairies ;-)

We also have lots of those thingies, that you make wishes on. Lots of wishes are presently being made:

When I get chance to download a book on my Kindle I may just read it here:

I absolutely love Spring blossoms. Reminds me of my time in Japan in 2004:
This is rather lovely too:

Although it is losing all of its petals rapidly. That reminds me we really must get some bird food for that bird table. This pic better shows how long the grass is. Doesn't bother me yet, as it looks like a English Country garden rather than unkempt - that's my story and I am sticking to it!

Aaron treated himself to a butterfly, which is currently hovering over some rhubarb!

He is currently obsessed with slugs and snails, but thanks to the rain, there have been lots of them to keep him entertained and curious.

Bye bye for now,

Liska xx

  2. Yeah we can't disturb the fairies and don't forget to make lots of daisy chains.

  3. Loving the excuse for not mowing the lawn. I'm also ambivalent about dealing with ours but, as my two love Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom so much, you've given me an excellent argument against getting out the lawnmower - thank you! ;-)

  4. Ahhh see I love the long grass and the daisies, secretly I'd love a wildflower meadow but I suspect that it would take up alot of space and effort for a few weeks of wildflowers a year!
Is it wrong that I love cutting the grass? Oh my, I am a fairy murderer!

thanks for joining in lovely lady - because you joined in late in the week people might has missed seeing your post in the linky so feel free to pop this link back on the new linky tomorrow morning x

  7. I love wildflower meadows so don't blame you for not wanting to mow (and harm the fairies!). Where I live in the US the gardens are so overly manicured that it's a lovely change to remember gardens in UK

  8. I'm with you- I'm all for the daisies now. (they do seem to get their heads back on by the following day after a mow- but no one needs to know this if you just don't fancy mowing.) The only risk with not mowing I think is that we always got more ant hills in the lawn when it gets longer. The pretty tree with the petals is a Magnolia I think. And I've remembered that I wanted to plant some Rhubarb!!! Is it too late?! Mostly I want it for the massive leaves...

  9. We are daisy-less here but I'm sure if we had them I'd be reluctant for the lawn to be mown. The POD Father does like a good mow though! That blossom is rather lovely and how nice to have rhubarb. We used to have lots in the garden when I was a child - great in crumble :)
