YESssssssssss

Hi

Well I thought yesterday was the end of my sleep successes.  Aaron didn't have his daytime naps in the cot BUT..........

Last night he slept in his cot from...... drum roll.......

Midnight till 8 a.m.

I am sorry, but given the co-sleeping of recent weeks THAT is nothing short of a miracle and MUMMY SLEPT - oh boy! Mummy feels gooooooooood this morning AND we got up at 8 a.m. where usually we get up at 10, and the sky is blue and the sun is shining and life is goooooood.

How did we do it?  Well it wasn't pick up put down (Super Nanny style) and it wasn't controlled crying.  It was simply SLEEPING ON HIS TUMMY..........

I want to write so much more but right now he is asleep on my knee so it is hard.   Yes, I know I should go and put him down, but baby steps, baby steps.   :-)

Back to update... after 15 minutes asleep on my knee... I got him in the cot.  As I repositioned him in my arms he started to cry... THE SECOND he was on his tummy he stopped... bliss!

Back to update again... he fell asleep at 10 a.m. and it's now 11:04 and he is still asleep...
His morning nap is normally 40 minutes........ It must be because we got up at 8 a.m. instead of 10 right?

Back again - it is 11:40 and he is still asleep (yes I have checked on him) xx
He woke at 12:05........

Asleep in his cot this morning (still there now)

  3. So, in the above post he'd slept in the cot 12-8 a.m. but last night it was down to 12 till 5 a.m.

At 5 a.m. I rubbed his back for AGES but it didn't work so in the end I brought him in with us, and it still took me till 6:20 to get him back to sleep (long story which I will post tonight).

Didn't want to be awake 5 till 6:20 as I had to be up at 8 a.m. today for a bloggy thingy this afternoon.

Anyway he is still in bed, except now that's in the cot, as he woke and cried while I was in the shower and I successfully transferred him to the cot.

I've got 20 mins till I need to wake him (don't normally wake a baby but we're going out today).

So best dash and get as much done as possible before he wakes/I wake him.
